At first, I didn’t really like Google Docs. I liked the full applications (and familiarity) of Microsoft Word. I had tried using Open Office for a while, but I really didn’t like it. After toying around with my resume for a while, I started to warm up to the idea. It makes editing papers much more functional to have it online as one document than to send out documents through e-mail. I cannot count how many times I’ve sent myself an e-mail of a document that I needed to print. It was obnoxious. But now, I can just upload it on Google and have access to it 24/7 no matter where I am.
The editing part is also helpful for students because they would be able to access their papers at ay time, as well as allow me and their peers to view and edit too. I think it’s a great way to share information easily and I can definitely see how it could be used in a classroom.

Completely agree, the editing would be great for encouraging peer reviews in the classroom.
